The Danish Energy Agency has published a report prepared by Boston Consulting Group on key commercial factors in relation to the tender for offshore wind. The Danish Energy Agency writes in a press release.
The report is part of the follow-up to the tender for 6 GW offshore wind, which the Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities asked the agency to carry out after three of the six tendered offshore wind farms did not receive bids in December 2024.
The report analyses key supply and market factors for offshore wind installers in connection with the tender. It contains estimates of the effect of the individual factors on the business case. At the same time, it is examined whether the business case has changed from the time the tender conditions were politically agreed to the bid deadline in December 2024. Experience from offshore wind tenders in other countries is also included.
The report and the accompanying executive summary can be read on the Danish Energy Agency's website.
