The Danish Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) has doubled its profits and increased its contribution to the economy in the past year. The fund's total business volume has increased by DKK 10 billion. This is stated by the Danish Export and Investment Fund in a press release.

With a total annual result of DKK 1.9 billion, EIFO has delivered significant growth compared to the previous year. This is despite a challenging market. EIFO pays a maximum dividend of DKK 350 million to the state, while the rest of the profit remains in the fund and is used for future activities.

- Overall, this is a good result, where we can both pay full dividends to our owner, deliver an increased contribution to society and at the same time have an even greater opportunity to create more activity in the future through a solid profit, says CEO of EIFO Peder Lundquist.

The positive result is primarily due to EIFO's financing of Danish exports through sureties and guarantees. At the same time, investments in companies and funds have contributed positively, although there have been fluctuations in the area. Among the larger financial transactions was the recovery of a previously written-off debt of DKK 500 million from Mongolia, while EIFO, together with other creditors, has made a write-down of DKK 400 million on a loan to Better Energy.

For 2025, EIFO continues to focus on financing green activities and investments in the defense and security sector. In addition, the fund is planning new technological initiatives within, among other things, the quantum area as well as strengthening lending to small and medium-sized enterprises.

- In 2025, EIFO still has an appetite for green activities together with the market. In addition, our financing for defense and security companies will receive even higher priority and we also have significant technological initiatives within, for example, the quantum area. I also expect that our new offer for SMEs can increase our lending activity, so we are looking forward to an exciting new year for EIFO, says Peder Lundquist.
