Delays in the Danish electricity grid have put several green projects on hold, and both companies and investors are concerned about the pace of electrification. Professor Brian Vad Mathiesen from Aalborg University points out that microgrids can help: "The idea is that we avoid too many new investments in the electricity grid, even though we get more renewable energy. This reduces the need for further expansion, and thus we can electrify faster and cheaper," he says.
