BioCirc will not have a new CEO after all. This is clear after an extraordinary general meeting in the biogas group. Here it was decided that Bertel Maigaard will continue at the head of the biogas group. BioCirc writes this in a press release, where it presents the new board of directors. The general meeting "proceeded quietly", the group writes in the announcement.

- A large part of BioCirc's shareholders were present, and there was positive support for both management and strategy, which is why Bertel Maigaard will continue as CEO.

- BioCirc is looking forward to looking ahead, the announcement says.

The announcement comes after internal disputes and a power struggle that has unfolded in full public view since the new year. The power struggle has unfolded between the management, the board of directors and the owners. On the one hand, five out of a total of seven board members have stood. Just before the New Year, they announced in unison that CEO Bertel Maigaard had been fired.

The following day, BioCirc wrote on its website that Bertel Maigaard had not been fired. In an email to Børsen, the five board members then confirmed that Maigaard had been fired.  Maigaard again opposed the firing, and it was announced that the dissenting board members would be dismissed.

- The shareholders of Biocirc maintain that Bertel Maigaard has not been fired and cannot be fired by the board, according to Biotec's website.

Among the five board members were chairman Michael Haaning and the two members of the food group DLG. All three preempted the dismissal and resigned shortly after the New Year.  Michael Haaning does not appear on the new list of board members. Neither do DLG's former members, Jesper Pagh and Niels Dengsø Jensen. In turn, a new member from DLG, Jacob Bier, does so. Four of the remaining members have been appointed by Maigaard's family office, Maigaard and Molbech. The last two have been appointed by the A-capital owners.

Børsen og Finans has previously reported that Maigaard has been accused of having a tough management style. He commented on this in a press release after the three members had resigned.

- I must admit that my ambitions and passion have contributed to frustration among some employees at BioCirc.

- Of course, we need to resolve this so that going to work at BioCirc is not only professionally interesting, but also something you look forward to on Monday morning.

BioCirc, which describes itself as one of the world's largest producers of biogas, was founded in 2021 and has, among other things, been called a growth comet in the field.
