N1 has found a new person to head the Grid Operation & Production business unit. The electricity company has hired Sine Grønberg as new COO. Sine Grønberg was recruited internally. She comes from a position as Head of Tactical and Operational Support and since November she has been interim COO, which will now be her permanent position. She will also join N1's senior management, the company said in a press release.
- We are looking into a future where we will have to invest many billions in the electricity grid to be at the forefront of the electrification of society. Therefore, we need a safe hand to maintain our high level of security of supply. Sine has a strong digital mindset, she knows N1 in depth and has improved a number of our processes during her time, and Sine is a strong leader who can both ensure operations and motivate employees in a busy and changing everyday life, says Lise Bering, CEO of N1.
As COO, she will be responsible for ensuring that N1's electricity grid meets the requirements both now and in the future, so that the company can supply 800,000 homes and businesses in Jutland with electricity.
N1 currently has more than 280,000 cable cabinets and over 40,000 km of electricity cables, and with a more electrified society in sight, the country's geographically largest electricity grid is only going to grow. This year alone, N1 expects to invest around DKK 1.5 billion in the electricity grid.
- The electricity grid is undergoing an exciting development, where our role in society is becoming even more important. Therefore, it is also crucial that we make operations more digital and intelligent, so that electricity consumers can continue to count on the electricity grid. I look forward to taking on this task together with skilled colleagues in N1 at a time when things are really heating up, says Sine Grønberg.
