KALUNDBORG: A former treasurer of a small maritime association, Det Maritime Værksted, has reported port director Bent Rasmussen to the police with an allegation of abuse of power, writes Sjællandske Nyheder. The police confirm to the newspaper that an investigation is underway.
According to the newspaper, minutes from the association show that the port director had declared to the chairman of the board that the cooperation between the port and the association on lending the port's equipment was over because there was a person on the board who "was critical of the port and wrote about it". And that "everything was back to normal" when the treasurer resigned.
- The police must prove that the treasurer on the board resigned as a result of pressure from the port director, and at the same time it must be proven that the port director said what he is accused of having done. Unless there is a written trail or tape recordings, it may be difficult to follow up, is the assessment of the case from professor of administrative law Sten Bønsing to Sjællandske Nyheder.
