Today, Ørsted held a general meeting for its shareholders at Bella Sky Conference & Event.
The annual report for 2023 was approved at the general meeting. In addition, the board of directors' proposal not to pay dividends to shareholders for the financial year 2023, due to the company's deficit of more than DKK 20 billion, was approved.
At the general meeting, Thomas Thune Andersen also officially resigned as chairman of Ørsted's board of directors after holding the position since 2014.
Shareholders also chose to follow the board of directors' recommendation for Thomas Thune Andersen's successor, according to the book. Here it was announced a few weeks ago that the deputy chairman of Ørsted for ten years, Lene Skole, had been nominated as the new chairman.
Interim group chief operating officer of Ørsted, Andrew Brown, was also approved as the new deputy chairman, while Dieter Wemmer, Peter Korsholm, Julia King and Annica Bresky were all re-elected as board members.
