Plan & Byg

One is tempted to say that Norsea Denmark has towering ambitions. In any case, the company has very specific plans to build a 21-storey, 9,000 m2 tower at the port of Esbjerg.

The project has been named Energy Tower, as the vision is that the tower will be a gathering place for the renewable energy sector's most leading companies, where the spaces invite collaboration, knowledge sharing and co-creation, Norsea states in a press release.

- Our climate ambitions require the entire green value chain to collaborate on innovation and new good solutions, says Jesper Høj-Hansen, CEO of NorSea Denmark. He continues:

- We want to build a tower that invites new thinking and dialogue. Innovation is about meeting new ideas and perspectives. About thinking big together and finding new ways to develop together. That is the ambition that Energy Tower speaks to, he says.

The Esbjerg Declaration set the plans in motion

According to Norsea, it is, among other things, the political agreement The Esbjerg Declaration that has helped to set the ideas for Energy Tower in motion, which is to ensure a framework of "international standard, where smart minds want to meet."

- The Esbjerg Declaration emphasized the importance of our being united in the climate crisis and united in achieving our goals. Energy Tower speaks to that community, says Jesper Høj-Hansen and elaborates:

- "We are in the midst of a historic transition to a new energy system, where coherence, integration and sector coupling are crucial. If we are to succeed, we must cooperate much more than we do now

Energy Tower will be built in connection with the House of Offshore Innovation in Esbjerg. It will be ready for inauguration in 2025.
