BattMan Energy has entered into an agreement to sell a 50 MW / 150 MWh battery storage project in Grenaa to ENKA Energy Transition. The project is ready for construction with the necessary permits and grid connection in place. The parties announced this in a press release.
As part of the agreement, BattMan Energy will be responsible for Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management during the construction phase. The company will also deliver a multi-year asset management agreement once the facility is operational.
The facility is expected to be the largest battery storage facility in East Jutland when it is put into commercial operation in the first quarter of 2028. The battery storage facility will, among other things, contribute to stabilizing the Danish electricity grid by storing excess power from solar and wind energy and providing system services. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.
- This first project with ENKA Energy Transition is a clear demonstration of BattMan's commitment to delivering high-quality utility-scale battery projects that can help accelerate the green transition in Denmark, says Daniel Kappelgaard, CEO of BattMan Energy.
The project is supported by White Summit Capital through the Decarbonisation Infrastructure Fund II.
