Green Power Denmark is pleased with the government reshuffle, which introduced three new ministries. Green Power Denmark looks forward to working with the Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness in particular in the fight to secure Denmark's energy and electricity infrastructure. The trade organization states this in a press release.
- As a society, we face a number of threats. Climate change leads to flooding and damage to buildings, diseases spread between people and animals, and there is a risk of sabotage of critical infrastructure. Now there will be a ministry that will coordinate the effort, and hopefully it can help ensure that we are well prepared on the day it is needed, says Technology Director at Green Power Denmark, Jørgen S. Christensen.
He is pleased that the establishment of the ministry will bring together emergency preparedness efforts that are currently in the individual sector ministries within energy, environment, defense, health and business.
- It is important that companies only have to go to one place. The new emergency preparedness ministry must improve efforts across sectors and build on the work that is in the sector ministries. We must avoid double reporting and unnecessary bureaucracy. I expect the government to be aware of this, says Jørgen S. Christensen.
