In the autumn, the East Jutland energy and fiber group AURA held elections for the board of representatives, and the newly elected board of representatives subsequently met to elect the 11 members for the new a.m.b.a. board.
The board has now constituted itself, and this has led to the group having a new chairman in the form of lawyer Lars Broni; the previous deputy chairman Peter Rønne will continue in that position, Aura informs in a press release.
The new chairman of the board knows the board's work well in Aura. He has thus served on the board since the merger in 2014, including a period as deputy chairman.
- I think we have elected a board with very strong and diverse competencies, and I look forward to leading the work that lies ahead of the board in the coming years. We must have formulated a new group strategy, as well as follow up on the implementation of the many strategic initiatives that were launched in the past period, says Lars Broni.
Lars Broni replaces Henning Kruse as chairman, who will continue as an ordinary member of the board of directors.
Three new board members
The board of directors election resulted in 41 new members of the 94-person board of directors, and from this there was great interest in running for the board of directors. Thus, there were 27 candidates that the members of the board of representatives could vote for, and it ended with nine re-elections and two new elections when the vote figures for the board election were calculated.
In addition, there are two employee-elected board members, one of whom is newly elected.
Completely new are Louise Overvad Jensen and Mads Madsen, as well as employee-elected Thomas Holm, and since the board of directors has been reduced by two people in connection with changes to the articles of association, this means that four previous board members have resigned.
- I look forward to working with the new board to further strengthen and develop the AURA group. We are in a good place, but we must not stand still. With both continuity and completely fresh eyes on the board, we can now take the next exciting steps, says Carsten Höegh Christiansen, CEO of Aura.
