The Danish Parliament's Climate, Energy and Utilities Committee officially declares no confidence in Climate Minister Lars Aagaard (M) because he has withheld information about delays in the electricity grid from the Danish Parliament. However, he can continue in his post, as a political majority is behind him, even though a majority in the committee wants to criticize him. The parties behind the criticism want a question-and-answer debate in the Danish Parliament.

- We cannot just stand by and say that this is how it has to be, so we have to move on. There are simply too serious problems, including the core of parliamentarism, which we have challenges with here, says Steffen Larsen (LA), who is a member of the climate committee.

Even if the parties declare no confidence in their own words, there is still a majority behind the minister, who can thus continue in his post. There is a tradition of handing out a nose when criticizing ministers, but the parties behind it want to signal that the criticism is stronger than a nose, which is a criticism of a politician's actions.

But since there is a majority behind the minister, the no-confidence vote has no formal consequences. The parties will continue to attend negotiations on the climate expansion, but no longer have confidence in the minister.
