Topsoe is bringing forward the change of director in the company, so that Elena Scaltritti will take over as CEO as early as March 5. This is after Roeland Baan has chosen to resign earlier than planned. Topsoe states this in a press release.
It was originally announced in January that Elena Scaltritti would take over as CEO on June 1, 2026, after a transition period, after Roeland Baan would resign at the end of May. However, after what Topsoe himself describes as a satisfactory annual result for 2025 has been presented, Roeland Baan has requested the board of directors to resign now, which the board of directors has accepted.
- The consensus on the strategic direction and planning between the board of directors, our owners, senior management and the organization is clear and evident, which makes it possible to complete the transition faster than planned. It makes me proud and is a testament to the strong purpose, direction and leadership we have built in the organization. I look forward to following Topsoe's development under Elena's leadership, says Roeland Baan, CEO of Topsoe.
Elena Scaltritti thus takes over the management of the company almost three months earlier than planned. According to the announcement made when the change of director was announced in January, the plan is for her to lead the next phase of Topsoe's development with a focus on scaling the company's technology and meeting changing market conditions and customer needs.
However, she has plenty of praise for her predecessor, who during her almost six years of leadership, among other things, has implemented the name change from Haldor Topsoe to the current Topsoe and strengthened the company's position as a supplier of technology for green transition and fuel production.
- Roeland has brought a bold vision and a persistent drive for rapid execution to Topsoe. In recent months, since Roeland decided to step down, we have seen the entire organization come together around a common goal to ensure a smooth transition. I am very grateful for Roeland's efforts and our cooperation in this process. This has enabled us to maintain focus on realizing our ambitious plans for 2026 in partnership with our customers, says Elena Scaltritti, CEO of Topsoe.
