The consulting engineering company COWI achieved revenue of 8.361 billion DKK in 2024, an increase of six percent compared to the previous year. At the same time, operating profit increased by 31 percent to 607 million DKK. This is what COWI writes in a press release.
- Our strong results in 2024 are primarily due to three factors. Firstly, our strategy, FUTURE-NOW, is working as planned. Secondly, our transformation program, LEAP, is already contributing to improved operating profit due to greater productivity and efficiency. An example of this is growing revenue with fewer employees. Thirdly, our focus on prioritized sectors and building long-term relationships with key customers has been successful, says COWI CEO Jens Højgaard Christoffersen.
The company's annual report for 2024 complies with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) one year before it becomes a requirement. According to management, sustainability is a core part of our operations and an important part of the market strategy.
- Sustainability is a core part of our operations and it gives us valuable insight into business and market opportunities. We will continue to further integrate sustainability into our work processes for the benefit of our customers, says CFO Natalie Shaverdian Riise-Knudsen.
Management has also reduced the company's carbon footprint in 2024. The ratio of CO2 emissions to revenue decreased from 8.5 tons CO2 per million DKK to 7.7 tons CO2 per million DKK compared to the 2022 baseline.
- We look forward to building on this success and continuing to deliver strong results while effectively serving our customers and other stakeholders. With an order book of 6.2 billion DKK, DKK, the demand for our services is significant, and we will leverage this position of strength to continue our strategic investments in people, technology and sustainability, says Jens Højgaard Christoffersen.
