Following the bankruptcy petition from the Thy company Opmatic, SystemTeknik has decided to take over parts of the business to ensure continued operations and customer service. SystemTeknik writes in a press release.

Originally, the entire bankruptcy estate was purchased by Jysk Elteknik, but since switchboard production is not their area of expertise, a collaboration has now been entered into between SystemTeknik and Jysk Elteknik.

- The synergy between Opmatic's former switchboard department and SystemTeknik is enormous – not only because I am a true Thy boy from Snedsted. But also because we see clear potential in integrating the employees from the department into our business. With our current growth and tasks within the service of electrical panels and circuit breakers throughout the Thy area, it was only natural to acquire the department, says CEO of SystemTeknik Ole Madsen.

The CEO of Jysk Elteknik, Jesper Dragsbæk Overgaard, is positive about the collaboration.

- We see SystemTeknik as an ideal buyer of the electrical panel department, ensuring that the jobs remain in Thy and can continue to provide the same good service for customers locally, he says.

The two former leading co-owners of Opmatic's electrical panel production, Thomas Olesen and Anders Søe, will continue their work in the new Thy unit of SystemTeknik, which will open on Monday, March 24, 2025.

- We have an obligation to our customers and partners, with whom we have built a strong foundation over the past 25 years, says Anders Søe.

SystemTeknik, which is North Jutland's largest switchboard manufacturer, employs 115 employees in Denmark and Poland. In 2024, the company had a turnover of 160 million DKK and has a strong solvency without debt.

Thomas Olesen sees the collaboration as an obvious opportunity.

- SystemTeknik is exactly what we want for the future. They have a setup with IT, design and project management as well as material and equipment for immediate start-up, which makes the collaboration a perfect match from the start, he says.
