The Port of Thyborøn is well protected inside the Limfjord, but with full access to the North Sea. The port is also located in a sheltered position in relation to other Danish ports. There is actually a good reason for this. The expansions have quickly proven to bear fruit.

- Our investments over the past few years from 2016 can be clearly seen in our turnover, says Tine Jensen Le Breton, Sales and Marketing Manager at the Port of Thyborøn.

- In terms of tonnage, we were in 11th place compared to the other Danish ports, adds Port Director Jesper Holt Jensen.

One of the future business areas that the port is working towards is offshore wind. The ambitions both as a service and shipping port have already resulted in Limfjordskaj 2 being ready for the purpose. But for a port to truly be able to offer itself in the wind sector, high standards are also required in other areas such as safety.

- HSE is already incorporated into our plans, and we have obtained the ISO certifications, says Jesper Holt Jensen.

The work with the ISO certifications is a continuous development process that continues to benefit.

- We continue to develop positively with the sparring that we receive from DNV, explains Tine Jensen Le Breton about the certification company DNV.

Perhaps you would think that it is only at the management level that there is joy about the certifications - but that is not the case at all.

- Our 3Fs come and say: "How good it is", says Jesper Holt Jensen with a nod that shows the satisfaction of the entire organization.
