Minister of Industry Morten Bødskov (S) has on Monday appointed new members and a new chairman of the board in the form of former department head in the Ministry of Industry Michael Dithmer to the board of the Danish Export and Investment Fund (Eifo).
Among the new members is former Venstre chairman and Minister of Defense Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, who according to Bødskov "possesses competencies" that will benefit the board. Ellemann-Jensen worked as a lawyer for a number of years before his political career.
- For example, Jakob will be able to contribute with extensive political and strategic experience while also having competences in the legal field, says Bødskov in a written comment to Ritzau.
Eifo is a state fund that was created in January 2023 by merging three funds. Eifo offers risk-averse financing to entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises and export companies, according to the fund's website.
