GraphCast is something that Google already offers for the green transition, and there is much more on the way from the tech giant, says Google's country manager in Denmark Bianca Bruhn.

Google is part of the green transition and Green Power Denmark

Country Manager for Google in Denmark Bianca Bruhn sees the tech company as a natural and helpful part of the green transition. This is not least because of AI.

-Why am I here today? asks Bianca Bruhn at Green Power Denmark's annual meeting on Thursday, when she takes the stage as one of the keynote speakers, and the answer comes immediately:

- We are a member of Green Power Denmark because we are a large energy consumer. And because we have the solutions for the green transition.

Perhaps the tech giant is not known for being a leader in artificial intelligence, but that is actually what Google can contribute.

- It is solutions with AI that we will do it with. AI is the foundation for achieving the goal of the green transition, she says.

And there is weight behind the words.

- We have been on the field for ten years with AI, and we see it as the biggest transition, even bigger than the transition to the internet and our access from mobile phones, explains Bianca Bruhn.

Google's own green goals

But Google will not only deliver the solutions, the company will also contribute.

- We want to be CO2-emission-free in 2030, and it is not a walk in the park. We will do that with AI, and we have five solar parks in Denmark. So we already produce more than we use in this country, says the country manager.

- But there are times when we cannot get the green energy. That's why we invest in new technology, she says.

The choice of countries for data centers is also important for Google for several reasons.

- We look for where we can get green energy and where it is safe, says Bianca Bruhn, pointing to a country like Norway as a new location for a data center.
