ZEBRAFISH from Rambøll has been named the winner of the Innovation Award 2025. The award was presented by Energiforum 2025 Denmark at the annual conference Energiforum 2025, where three nominated products competed for the honor. The nominees were EG Worksense, ZEBRAFISH and the CO2 maintenance plan, all of which focused on digital solutions to promote the green transition in buildings. After the presentations, ZEBRAFISH received the most votes. This is what Energiforum 2025 writes in a press release. The conference takes place today and tomorrow, March 4, at Hotel Nyborg Strand.

Rambøll has developed ZEBRAFISH as a digital tool that can analyze indoor climate, energy consumption and CO2 emissions in buildings in relation to energy-saving measures. The tool retrieves data from energy labels, emission factors and international databases as well as the Danish Building Regulations. Building owners and operating organizations can thus make well-informed decisions to reduce energy consumption and ensure a better indoor climate. At the same time, the tool takes into account future climate changes such as rising temperatures and changing humidity conditions.

- The vast majority of the buildings we will live and work in in 2050 have already been built, and renovation is therefore becoming an increasingly important tool in the green transition. ZEBRAFISH makes it possible to make the right decisions when we renovate, both in terms of climate and indoor climate, and they do so based on existing data, so that some of the costly mapping that should otherwise be behind a renovation can be avoided. That is why it was appropriate to name ZEBRAFISH the winner of the Innovation Award 2025, says CEO of the EUDP program Mads Lyngby-Pedersen.

The three nominees had seven minutes to present their solutions to judges and the audience, where the criteria included, among other things, innovation and potential. The judging panel consisted of Vagn Holk Lauridsen from TI, Lykke Margot Ricard from SDU Innovation and Design Engineering and Mads Lyngby-Pedersen from the EUDP program. The judges' votes were weighted 50 percent, while the audience votes made up the remaining 50 percent.
