A majority in Hjørring City Council has decided to put an end to Agri Energy Vrås' plans to expand its biogas plant. This is reported by TV2 Nord.
The company, which has been criticized for odor nuisances, asked the city council in February to put work on the expansion on hold.
At the city council meeting on Wednesday evening, a majority, excluding Mayor Søren Smalbro (V), decided not only to put the plans on hold, but to drop them altogether. This means that if an expansion is desired again, the process of approvals and permits must start all over again.
