Danish companies are particularly strong in wind turbine technology, hydrogen technology and various energy-efficient solutions that can help reduce energy consumption. This is stated by Green Power Denmark in a press release.
The companies export almost 90 billion kroner worth of green energy technology per year, but where there was growth in exports a few years ago, it has stagnated in recent years.
- Competition has intensified, and more Danish companies are establishing production in other countries - among other things to be closer to growth markets. This development will probably continue, but we can still do a lot to increase the export of green energy technology, says Thomas Bustrup, international director of the Confederation of Danish Industry.
In the Green Export Forum for Energy, companies can discuss topics that are relevant to exports. The goal is that export efforts should be based on the companies' wishes and needs.
DI and Green Power Denmark have entered into a collaboration on export efforts to ensure joint prioritization of the offers that are developed for exporting companies. The agreement is a natural extension of a long-standing collaboration between the two organizations on the export of wind turbine technology, which is why the collaboration will also coordinate efforts in connection with business visits abroad, such as the one taking place in Poland these days.
- Together, we represent almost all green exporting companies. We create synergy and strengthen export opportunities by joining forces. We have a common interest in companies selling as much green energy technology abroad as possible, says Kristian Jensen, CEO of Green Power Denmark.
The Green Export Forum for Energy will first work to develop a new green export strategy in the energy area. There is a need to look at the country partnerships in the export scheme so that efforts become more focused. Finally, there is a need to strengthen cooperation on export activities between the business community and the authorities.
