Lego was supposed to have called neighbors to meetings about the Havremarken and Billund solar parks no later than January 5 and October 4 in 2023, but this will not happen until November 24, 2025. That is, with a delay of more than two years. The Energy Agency has thus issued the official call to residents within a kilometer and a half of the facilities. Lego regrets the error, which according to the company is due to the delay in not being aware of the deadline for when the meetings should be held. It writes JydskeVestkysten.

"We regret the delay of the meeting in relation to the schedule and the uncertainty it may have caused. We would like to emphasize that this does not affect the possibility of applying for compensation for loss of value, put option or RE bonus. It is important for us to be open about the plans for the solar parks in Billund, and we have had ongoing dialogue with interested neighbors," reads a written response from the Lego Group, indicating that it does not affect the possibility of applying for compensation.

The Havremarken Solar Park was put into operation in April 2024. It covers 3.5 hectares with a total of 9450 solar panels and a total output of 4 MW. Billund Solar Park is still in the planning stage and is expected to be commissioned in the summer of 2027. Around 180,000 panels will be installed here, spread over approximately 100 hectares, but a building permit has not yet been granted. At the upcoming meeting, Lego will present the two plants and their significance for the area, while the Danish Energy Agency will review the rules for compensation, put option and renewable energy bonus.
