The consulting company Cowi is moving its head office to Kongens Lyngby, where the company, together with Velliv, is developing a new domicile based on renovation and recycling. The project will show how existing buildings can be transformed into modern office facilities with a focus on sustainability. This is what Cowi writes.

- We plan to create a head office for Cowi as well as an office area with a focus on recycling and renovation. The project reflects a shared ambition to promote a more resource-efficient construction process, which is also an important focus area for us at Velliv, says property director Solveig Rannje from Velliv.

The new head office will be located on Parallelvej by Lyngby Station – next to the current head office – in a former office building that will undergo extensive renovation. Cowi and Arkitema are collaborating with the building's owner, Velliv, to develop the area. Velliv is investing up to one billion. DKK in the project, which will house around 1,800 employees.

- We want to provide our employees with state-of-the-art facilities, and we want to keep our head office in Kongens Lyngby, where there are good traffic connections, proximity to DTU and a vibrant business environment. We will now make that a reality,” says Cowi CEO Jens Højgaard Christoffersen.

The renovation includes several buildings that will be connected by new building parts. The total building mass will be over 33,000 m2, and the project is expected to be completed in 2028.
