Danish District Heating praises the Climate Council for highlighting the importance of CO2 capture in the latest status report on Denmark's climate efforts. According to the industry organization, technology plays a crucial role in achieving national climate goals and reducing Denmark's total CO2 emissions. This is what Danish District Heating writes in a press release.

- The Climate Council's report emphasizes that CO2 capture will be a central part of Danish energy and climate policy, and we completely agree with that. Technology will be crucial to achieving our climate goals, says CEO of Danish District Heating Kim Mortensen.

He also points out that there is a need for increased investments and a long-term strategy to ensure the effective implementation of CO2 capture in the district heating sector and the rest of the energy system.

In their report, the Danish Climate Council has highlighted the need to establish a clear framework for the expansion of CO2 capture and ensure that the technology can contribute significantly to Denmark's goal of climate neutrality.
