Danish Business welcomes the decision to establish 11 new industrial parks. The industrial parks, which stem from the political agreement Red Carpet for Manufacturing Companies, which was adopted last year, are intended to create better conditions for investment, production and growth in Denmark.

- If Denmark is to continue to be an attractive manufacturing country, we must ensure that companies have access to the necessary production areas, fast approval processes and infrastructure. I am therefore pleased that good transport conditions in the form of roads and ports are included in the 11 industrial parks. The new industrial parks are an important tool for maintaining and strengthening Denmark's position, so that we can continue to invest in green transition, innovative food and life science, among other things. The new industrial parks will thus benefit Danish growth and welfare, says Brian Mikkelsen, CEO of the Confederation of Danish Enterprise, in a press release.

According to the Confederation of Danish Enterprise, the decision is a long-awaited step towards strengthening the opportunities for Danish manufacturing companies to grow both nationally and globally. The organization points out that the industrial parks will contribute to creating new jobs and supporting the development of strategically important sectors such as green energy, food production and life science.

- If Denmark is to maintain its leading position within green industry, we must ensure good production opportunities for green and cheap energy in Denmark. The industrial parks are one of the keys to enabling us to seize the next wave of growth and give companies the best framework to grow and create green solutions for the future, says Brian Mikkelsen.

He is also pleased about the great interest from the municipalities, 29 of which have applied to become the home of one of the industrial parks. According to the Danish Chamber of Commerce, this shows that there is a broad understanding that production contributes to growth and jobs throughout the country.

- In the Danish Chamber of Commerce, we now hope for a quick implementation, so that the good plans come to fruition and become reality. It is crucial that the industrial parks not only have access to well-functioning infrastructure, but also sufficient and cheap supplies of water and electricity. We will keep a close eye on this - together with stepping up the approval processes - in the further work," says Brian Mikkelsen.

The new industrial parks will be located in Kerteminde, Skive, Lolland, Aabenraa, Ikast-Brande, Horsens, Viborg, Næstved, Esbjerg, Aalborg and Kalundborg.
