European Energy has sold its largest solar park to date in the US, bringing the total sold capacity in the country to 800 MW. This is the company's second major divestment since entering the US market in 2021.

The sold solar farm, when fully operational, will be able to produce 1,389 GWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the annual consumption of 128,000 US households.

- The sale of this solar project is proof of European Energy's strong development capabilities in the world, says Thorvald Spanggaard, Executive Vice President and Head of Project Development at European Energy, in a press release.

The company's first US project, Project Yellow Viking in Texas of 350 MW, was sold in 2023. With the latest sale, European Energy continues its strategy of developing, delivering and reinvesting capital in new renewable energy projects to accelerate the green transition in the US.

- Our goal in the US is to create a broad portfolio of renewable energy solutions, and this sale is an important step in the realization of our strategy, says CEO for European Energy North America, Lorena Ciciriello.

European Energy began its development activities in the US in 2021 and has since significantly expanded its activities in the country. The company's US office, located near Austin, Texas, houses a rapidly growing team dedicated to advancing the transition to renewable energy in the US.
