Aarhus University's campus in Viborg will receive 23.7 million kroner for new testing facilities that will pave the way for green innovation and biosolutions in Denmark.

The grant will not only strengthen research, but also work closely with the development of the upcoming energy park in Viborg, which is expected to become a new center for green industry in Central Denmark.

- We must bring Danish biosolutions to a new level, and this requires strong investments and close cooperation. With 23.7 million kroner for new testing facilities at AU Viborg, we are strengthening the opportunities for entrepreneurs, researchers, students and companies in Central Denmark, says Minister of Business and Industry Morten Bødskov (S).

The Danish Business Development Agency also sees the project as a concrete contribution to linking research, business and green transition.

- It is so important that more SMEs have access to relevant facilities within new, green key technologies, says leader Christian Motzfeldt.

Together with the energy park, the new laboratories and test facilities will make Viborg a powerhouse for green growth and technology development. The grant is part of the Danish Parliament's total pool of 69 million DKK to strengthen biosolutions in Denmark.
