Vestas presented financial statements on Wednesday, showing revenue of 3.75 billion euros in the second quarter. The wind turbine manufacturer was also able to report a bottom line of 34 million euros after tax - equivalent to around 254 million kroner. In the second quarter of 2024, Vestas had a loss of 156 million euros. Vestas also maintained its expectations for the year and thus still expects revenue for the full year to land between 18 and 20 billion euros.
The results have apparently given Vestas' relatively new CFO confidence in the future of the wind turbine manufacturer. In any case, he has been on the market for shares and bought a total of 18,744 at an average price of DKK 114.67. This corresponds to a total purchase of DKK 2,149,374. The purchases took place on Wednesday morning, Vestas states in a company announcement.
The Vestas share is down slightly by 1.59 on Wednesday afternoon and is trading at 114.8.
Jakob Wegge-Larsen joined Vestas as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) earlier this year, where he came from a similar position at German DB Schenker.
