OK launches new sponsorship concept for associations

Associations can now receive support through electricity, fuel and charging

The energy company OK now offers the opportunity to support associations in several ways. In the new sponsorship concept, associations and sports clubs can receive support kroner when charging an electric car on a public charger, using electricity at home or refueling.   OK writes this in a press release.

Since 1989, it has been possible to support a selected club or association when refueling at one of OK's gas stations. Now the OK concept is being expanded.

- We are no longer just a fuel company, we are an energy company, and we must adapt our sponsorship concept accordingly, says Anders Knudsen, Marketing Director at OK.

More people can support with the new concept

With the new concept, you still support when refueling, but also when charging on the go and using electricity at home with an electricity contract from OK.

The subsidy for refueling remains 5 øre per liter, while the subsidy for charging will be 5 øre per kWh at OK's public charging stations, and electricity consumption at home provides 1 øre per kWh.

- We are really happy that the new sponsorship concept is in place, because it ensures that the associations can receive support from more people, not least the increasing number of electric car owners. The support is important for many clubs and associations - and it is also an important part of OK's DNA, says Anders Knudsen.

- We know that many have looked forward to and asked for the opportunity to also support charging and electricity, so we are very pleased that it is now possible, he says.
