The Dutch wind organization NedZero, formerly known as the Netherlands Wind Energy Association (NWEA), and their Ukrainian colleagues at the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) have d. 26 November signed a letter of intent for cooperation at The Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) in Amsterdam. The cooperation agreement covers both onshore and offshore wind, and must help rebuild the power supply in Ukraine. In addition, the Dutch must help the Ukrainians to balance the supply network. In continuation of the meeting, UWEA and NedZero were also supposed to meet with companies that are interested in specific projects in Ukraine, it is reported.
- We must defend Europe and we must defend Ukraine together. And part of the defense is not only military, it is also about energy, because without energy there is no military. Energy is the most important resource in any war. Therefore, it is very important that we support Ukraine far more than we do now, said Jan Vos, chairman of the board of NedZero.
