The global energy software provider ESG has acquired the Danish company CUBS, which provides consumption settlement solutions to energy companies and e-mobility providers.

- The increasing electrification of Danish society has fundamentally changed the business needs of utilities and electricity traders and requires them to introduce new products and services to retain customers, create growth and increase market share. With ESG's support, CUBS will be able to support our customers in new ways as we leverage ESG's expertise to add new features and even greater scalability to our modern technology platform, says CEO of CUBS Peter Ulka, who is also CEO of CUBS.

With the acquisition, ESG expands its global presence to Denmark. CUBS' cloud-based platform is currently used by 30 percent of electricity traders in Denmark and supports new business areas such as electric vehicle charging and purchasing of surplus production. ESG expects the collaboration to strengthen innovation and increase efficiency for Danish energy companies.

- This partnership will help CUBS' customers innovate in customer acquisition and retention. We are pleased to welcome the talented CUBS team to ESG, where we will continue to create modern and reliable solutions that help energy traders innovate, become more agile and gain market share - while increasing efficiency, says Matthew Hirst, CEO of ESG.
