Two prominent figures of Green Power Denmark in the form of Thomas Aarestrup Jepsen and Camilla Holbech have been given new roles in the trade organization on Wednesday.

The reshuffle in positions is part of the implementation of the trade organization's new overall strategy, which focuses on four priorities: Electrification of all activities in society, a dynamic energy system without fossil fuels, competitive industry for the benefit of prosperity and the global climate, and a secure energy system, Green Power Denmark said in a statement.

In connection with the reshuffle, Thomas Aarestrup Jepsen, who has previously been director of renewable energy, communication and public affairs, will become political director in the trade organization. This is a newly created role in Green Power Denmark.

- Thomas Aarestrup Jepsen will in future drive our political efforts across policy areas and strengthen our work with agenda-setting communication. At Green Power Denmark, we always take our unique professional insight as our starting point and speak on that basis. Therefore, our internal analysis and strategy department will also be linked to the political director in the future, explains Kristian Jensen, CEO of Green Power Denmark.

With the strategic choice to appoint a dedicated political director, there is also the possibility of appointing a new director for renewable energy, PtX and international cooperation. Here, the choice has fallen on Camilla Holbech, who has so far been head of department for renewable energy and international cooperation.

- I am really pleased that we have been able to fill the position internally in the form of Camilla Holbech, who has a deep energy professional insight and many years of experience from the renewable energy area. With today's double appointment, we ensure that Green Power Denmark will be even more firmly planted on our two distinguishing qualities in the future, namely the deep energy professional knowledge and the effective representation of interests, says Kristian Jensen.

Part of a major organizational change

Both new positions will be part of Green Power Denmark's management. In addition to the two innovations at director level, the reshuffle includes a number of organizational changes in relation to which of Green Power Denmark's departments report to which directors, the appointment of new department heads and heads of departments, and the reassignment of a number of employees internally within the organization.

- We are the voice of Denmark's green energy sector and we work purposefully to strengthen our 1,500 members' ability to make Denmark an increasingly greener, richer and safer country based on renewable energy. It is with this aim that we continuously adapt as an organization.
