In 2018, funds were allocated for a grant pool "Grant pool to promote energy export efforts", which is intended to strengthen the export efforts of Danish energy technology. It has since been extended in the 2025 Finance Act, so that 8.3 million DKK will be allocated annually in the period 2025-2028. This is stated by the Danish Energy Agency in a press release.
In the application round for 2024, which has now ended, 9.3 million DKK was allocated. However, not all of these millions have been distributed. In total, there were five public-private partnerships that met the pool's formal application criteria. These projects have applied for funding for projects totaling 5.9 million DKK. DKK, and full commitments have been made to all five projects.
"The projects focus on exploring new export opportunities by putting Danish expertise into play in, among other things, feasibility studies, market analyses and matchmaking between companies. The projects target sector integration in Brazil, district heating in Germany and France and CO2 capture (CCU) in South Korea," the announcement reads.
The next round of applications for the pool will be announced in 2025.
